Hi, I'm Denise.
Welcome to my ArtSpace
I'm an artist, designer and printmaker with a passion for the natural world.
Currently, I am setting up a new studio after moving south to be closer to family. A 'house move from hell' with artwork and equipment in storage for many long months.
Now however, myself, my husband and Pepe the cat have settled into a small cottage in a delightful Cumbrian village.
Previous to 15 years on the Isle of Skye, I was a college lecturer with a background in art, textiles and interior design, I exhibited extensively and my work has featured in magazines and television.
It will be a while before the new cottage reaches 'Home of the Year' standard! (BBC 1 Scotland) Scotland Home of the Year 2023. Watch on YouTube.
My work is influenced by my spectacular surroundings. Currently I am creating original artwork using a combination of monoprint, collagraph and silkscreen. *Should have a proper workspace by September.

From the initial concept . . through numerous drawing, painting and hand printing processes . . mounting and framing . . until it leaves the studio and eventually arrives at your door . . we endeavour to buy, use and re-use eco products. wherever possible. We try to re-cycle everything else. WE AVOID SINGLE USE PLASTICS AT ALL COST.
